This post was one of the main reasons why we started our blog back in 2008 because there was alsmost no info about AE86s in our native Czech. Theres plenty of stuff about the 86 on English websites so there really isnt any point in translating it but we feel that our Tech section would be incomplete without it. So here we go…
We didn’t feature any drift bangers for a while so we’ll post two today. On one side we really love this wrecked style thats mainly associated with young kids who don’t have the spare cash for paintjobs and brand new parts. We can’t really imagine wrecking our cars like this on the other side though.
Just as we thought we’ve seen all the 86 videos out there, Midnight Roulette blew our minds with these Hachiroku Extreme video series from Japan. There are six parts out there, each about 30 minutes long and even though there are no English subtitles we’re sure that all you hardcore 86ers will enjoy it! We said it many times before and we’ll say it again: New Zealand has the one of the most amazing grassroot car scene there is. Taking your car out to do some skinds in the night is something as natural in NZ as it is in Japan. Their 86s often look simple, but dont get the wrong impression, they drive them hard all the time.
Flyrat in Yamanashi prefecture is one of those magical places where time stopped in the 80’s.
